What's the first image that comes up when you Google your name?
Because I have a name "issue" I googled my name three times for each of my names I go by.
First my given name, Krystal Evans--this pic isn't bad--at least it's decent the others...well they remind me why I HATE my name.
Then, the name I am changing it to, Birdwell
And lastly Birdy (amazing how many bird pictures I got--go figure), what most call me.
Show us a mess.

I nearly fell out of my chair when I read this Vox Hunt. Show us a mess?? Really? I've got them all over my house. Am I willing to publish these sort of incriminating photos all over the Internet? I've had a blog for 9 years and I have yet to publish my mess in pictures.
I don't think I can start now--but it was a good try.

Bookshelf? As in one? As any librophile, I have many and not enough.
This bookshelf is my main bookshelf and only the top half. The shelf to the left is stacked double high and double back with paperback books. And I still feel as though I don't have enough books.
My dream is to have a library in my house a room like in My Fair Lady or in Beauty and the Beast. Two stories of books from the floor to the ceiling. Those books would all be well read and well loved; they would NEVER be a decoration for decoration sake. That's just wrong.
This first picture is the bottom of the left bookcase in the picture above--just so you know the shelf does go to the floor.
Below that, is the bookcase full of our technical and educational books.
Next is the small bookcase in Mic's room. Although most of the books are on the floor being looked at.
Lastly is the bookcase in Lorelei's room which has most of the kids books on it. Those are all the picture books and their age group books. All the other older kid books are on my shelves which I still on occaison enjoy reading, like Redwall and any book Roald Dahl wrote.
I really want to design and make a set of bookshelves that are not only space saving, but hold more books than the average bookcase. I am thinking of a bookcase that pulls out of the wall to reveal MORE shelves and can also (of course) be adjusted in height. I also want to be able to pull a sliding wall over a few of the bookcase panels to hang pictures and such. One can never have too much wall space in which to hang family pictures.

I love this song no matter who sings it, but really who can beat that Bono's falsetto?

My beautiful respectable stash of fine natural fibers. I've actually been thinking what I would do if we had a fire...how would somehow detour to make sure I grab the bag I have them stored in.
What did you think I would show a picture of the kids?? Are these two monsters made of super soft lace weight alpaca and SILK? Fine soft 100% merino wool? NO--they are covered in candy cane stickiness and chocolate--and have just tired themselves out with a racious game of hide and seek that involved much cereal tossing.
Then you look at these two darling creatures frozen in time and remember that they have their good moments when their innocence shines through their eyes. And you wondered why you ever thought about writing a book telling, no, demanding everyone get sterilised because demons are possessing our children.
Natually I would somehow save both my children and my Stash from the flames.
I am blessed to have many fine treasures.
Show us an unforgettable memory from 2006.
For weeks Lorelei got into my lipstick. It's amazingly hard to wash off. What you don't see is the lipstick smears on the wall behind her. Or the lipstick ring in the bathtub.
I have no lipstick left. I have one tube now which I bought after her lipstick phase and I keep it hidden in my purse.
And I keep the purse on a high hook; Lorelei also has a purse fetish.
Video: Show us some great animation.
The link to YouTube since I can't get the video uploaded to Vox--must be some setting on the vid itself.
It's a great piece of computer animation and a great study into the knitting obsession.
